Getting started with therapy

support rooted in science and shaped by connection

Learn More

Before scheduling a full session, Dr. Galloway offers a complimentary 15-minute meet and greet. This brief call allows you to ask questions, share what you’re hoping to work on, and get a sense of whether working together feels like a good fit. It’s a low-pressure way to connect and determine next steps.

Your first call

Your first therapy session is an initial evaluation. This is a collaborative conversation focused on getting to know you, understanding what brings you to therapy, and clarifying your goals. Dr. Galloway will gather relevant background information to support thoughtful case conceptualization and treatment planning. Together, you’ll begin identifying areas of focus and establishing shared goals for your work.

Your first session

Follow-up sessions are typically 45 or 60 minutes. Most clients begin by meeting weekly or twice monthly, depending on their needs and goals. As therapy progresses and goals are met, session frequency may shift to less frequent visits. Treatment is flexible and responsive, with pacing adjusted collaboratively over time.

What ongoing therapy looks like

Dr. Galloway is an out-of-network provider and operates on a self-pay basis. Payment is due at the time of service.

Current rates include:
Initial evaluation: $275
60-minute therapy session: $275
45-minute therapy session: $225

If you have out-of-network benefits, claims can be submitted on your behalf as a courtesy, and any reimbursement would be paid directly to you by your insurance company.

The practice is out of network with all insurance plans. Clients are responsible for understanding their individual insurance benefits, including deductibles and reimbursement rates. Diagnostic codes are not altered to meet insurance requirements. Full details are outlined in the Business Policies.

Fees & insurance

To avoid late cancellation or no-show fees, at least one full business day’s notice is required. Appointments cancelled with less notice may incur a fee. Insurance companies do not reimburse for missed or late-cancelled sessions. Specific timing and fee details are available in the Business Policies.
